Portland Street premises

 

Waterloo Mills in Chorley were purchased by the company on 17 November, 1874[1] for £9,050[2]. The Mills were later re – named to Lancashire Floor cloths[3]. Waterloo Mills were erected in 1874[4] and had a reputation for the best quality floor oilcloths because of its long – lasting material and hard wear. The Mills were registered under the trademarks “Tiger” and “Tip – Top”[5].

Bread Street and Bridgewater Place warehouses traded lambskins, sheetings, corsets, costumes baby clothing and waterproofs[6].

No. 5 Tib Street warehouses were leased in 1932 from Smokers Limited[7]. As well as ground and first floor of 15, Tib Street lease in 1954 of Burroughs Adding Machine Limited.

No. 36 Princess Street warehouse lease was signed on 11 August, 1954, between Lloyd’s Packing Warehouses Limited and Rylands & Sons Limited[8]. These premises were located fronting Faulkner and Portland Street.
